Join our farmer Shani* for this seed-raising workshop, where you will learn how to create a seed-raising mix and grow seedlings to take home. Seed-raising can be tricky, as there are so many variables that can lead to problems. In this workshop, we will share knowledge on where to source quality inputs and seeds for the best possible chance of growing healthy starts for your garden.

SHANI SHAFRIR (she/they) is a therapeutic horticulturist with a burning passion for creating communities around sustainable living, food growing and circular economy. They grew up in Israel, in an agricultural household, and bring with them years of experience in restaurants, university art departments, disability services and community gardens - skills and interests that inform their holistic practice. Shani firmly believes in the power of green spaces and gardening to bring people together, enhance wellbeing and bring about a sense of joy.
